We are hiring a

SUBSTITUTE

cook to prepare meals for our Early Childhood Adventures Program, (ECAP). This position is for the person who believes in quality meals and finds joy in preparing them! This is a

SUBSTITUTE

position covering as needed for the ECAP cook. Hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-1:30pm as needed. Will need to submit to a criminal history background check along with fingerprinting through the NH State Police Department and the Child Care Licensing Unit. Experience working in a licensed childcare center and/or in a USDA's CACFP center or school is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals according to CACFP guidelines and comply with provided menus.
• Clean, sanitize kitchen appliances, utensils, and other equipment needed for food preparation.
• Assess and communicate kitchen needs for equipment, sanitization, storage and utensils.
• Carry trays of food and dishes to and from classrooms as scheduled throughout the day.
• Complete all CACFP required paperwork; daily meal count sheets per classroom, daily/monthly menu production sheets, USDA Surplus monthly inventory sheets and daily/weekly menu compliance.
• Comply with all ALC Employee Handbook requirements.
• Follow ECAP Staff Handbook requirements in areas of Health, Safety, Nutrition and Food policies.
• Adhere to local health department, state licensing, and national accreditation policies, practices and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and to stand for long periods (95% of the day).
• Previous experience cooking in a commercial or school-based kitchen.
• Must maintain state in-service requirements.
• Nutrition training is a plus.
• State background checks are a must.
