Job Description

Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children, supporting their growth across various domains including literacy, math, physical activity, and social-emotional skills. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning in a warm and supportive classroom setting. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development and literacy education. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration. Manage classroom activities with effective behavior management strategies to support positive social interactions. Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, standardized testing preparation, and early intervention techniques. Support children's emotional well-being by applying child welfare best practices and classroom management skills. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and developmental milestones. Maintain accurate records of student activities, assessments, and individualized education plans (IEPs) when applicable. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education strategies. Experience in curriculum development tailored to preschool-aged children, including toddlers. Proficiency in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and inclusive teaching practices. Ability to plan engaging lessons across subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, and childcare fundamentals. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, staff, and community partners. Prior experience working in daycare settings or private schools is highly desirable.
