Newman Early Learning Center is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and nurturing Lead UPK Preschool Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. Monday-Friday, 8:45am-3:45pm Additional paid Professional Development days may become available over the summer. Salary is in alignment with school district tiers and teachers will follow along with district calendar and guidelines. No nights or weekends This is a grant-funded position and is contingent upon continued partnership with the Cinnaminson School District.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the lead teacher in the classroom, responsible for overall classroom management, instruction, and environment Work closely with a full-time assistant teacher, effectively delegating responsibilities and fostering a collaborative, respectful team dynamic Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of preschool learners, utilizing the HighScope curriculum Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that supports all children Monitor and assess student progress, using data to guide instruction and interventions Utilize positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional development and manage behavior effectively Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, behavior, and family communication Collaborate with families, colleagues, and related service providers to support each child's growth and success Meet all center and district deadlines and requirements Partake in professional development throughout the year

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Valid New Jersey PreK-3 Teaching Certification (required) Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to differentiate instruction and meet individual student needs Commitment to teamwork and collaboration Proficiency with technology for instruction, documentation, and communication
