At age two, children are transitioning from babies to independent explorers. Your role is to guide them through this critical year of language bursts, social discovery, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Design:

Implement/ Create play-based lesson plans that focus on sensory exploration, motor skills, and early literacy.

Routine Care:

Manage daily transitions including mealtime, naptime, and diaper changes.

Social Coaching:

Model positive behavior and help children navigate sharing, empathy, and emotional regulation.

Safety & Supervision:

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that meets state licensing standards.

Parent Communication:

Provide daily updates to families regarding their child's milestones, mood, and needs via our ProCare app.

Qualifications & Skills Education:

CDA (Child Development Associate) or Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) preferred.

Experience:

At least 1-2 years of experience specifically with the toddler age group.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to frequently sit on the floor, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs.

Certifications:

Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). The "Toddler Whisperer": A genuine love for this age group and a high tolerance for mess and noise!

Infinite Patience:

You stay calm during a melt down and view melt downs as learning moments.

Energetic & Playful:

You aren't afraid to be silly, sing off-key, or dance to get a child's attention.

Creative Storyteller:

You can turn a simple cardboard box into a spaceship or a dinosaur cave.

Active Listener:

You validate a child's feelings, even when they can't find the right words to say them.

Available Shifts:

The Early Opener:

Usually 6:30 AM

• 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM
• 4:00 PM .

Focuses on morning drop-offs, breakfast, and the first circle time.

The Core Mid-Day:

Typically 8:30 AM

• 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM
• 6:00 PM .

This is the "anchor" shift that covers the most active parts of the day, including lunch and the main curriculum.

The Afternoon Closer:

Generally 9:00 AM

• 6:00 PM or 10:00 AM
• 6:00 PM. Focuses on the afternoon snack, late-day play, and parent pick-ups. The Part-Time "Lunch Floater": Usually 10:00 AM
• 2:00 PM , 11:00 AM
• 3:00 PM, 1:00 PM
• 6:00 PM Provides critical coverage so full-time staff can take their mandatory breaks during nap time.
