Job Description

Overview We are seeking a warm, patient, and dedicated Infant Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants 6 weeks to 12 months. You will support each child's growth through responsive caregiving, daily routines (feeding, diapering, naps), and age-appropriate sensory and developmental activities that promote early learning and emotional security. The ideal candidate is attentive, reliable, and genuinely enjoys working with infants. Responsibilities Provide high-quality care for infants in a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom Develop and implement age-appropriate daily activities that support developmental milestones Maintain consistent feeding, diapering, and nap routines for each child Build strong, trusting relationships with infants and families Communicate daily with parents/guardians regarding child progress and needs Maintain a clean and organized classroom in compliance with licensing standards Observe and document developmental progress Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies Skills Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, especially with infants or toddlers Strong classroom management skills to create an organized, nurturing environment Ability to implement early childhood education best practices with enthusiasm and patience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (required) Infant/Toddler CDA (preferred) Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting (required) Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving practices CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Clear background check and fingerprinting (as required by NJ licensing) Join us as a Lead Infant Teacher where your dedication will shape the earliest moments of a child's educational journey. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
