HADDONFIELD FRIENDS SCHOOL
Haddonfield, New Jersey 08033 Haddonfield Friends School continues a 250 year tradition of educating a diverse population in the Quaker tradition. The School currently enrolls students aged 2 through grade 8. Early Childhood Teacher (3-4 yr old program)
  • Full Time Haddonfield Friends School is seeking qualified candidates for an early childhood teacher position in our 3
  • or 4
  • year
  • old programs beginning September 2026.
The qualified applicant will have an understanding of and strong affinity for Quaker philosophy, and will work collaboratively with colleagues.
Strong candidates will bring:
1-3 years lead teaching experience in early childhood classrooms A genuine understanding of child development and respectful behavior management techniques A rich repertoire of teaching strategies to address a variety of learning styles and needs Openness to collaboration and planning with the colleagues across grade levels Strong communication skills with colleagues, parents, and students Ability to teach to the whole child, including enthusiasm for inquiry and project-based learning Patience, along with a genuine understanding of child development and respectful behavior management strategies Commitment to continuous professional learning, including understanding and application of current research A commitment to health and safety best practices, including the ability to gently and effectively maintain safety guidelines and protocols An ability to meet varied tasks and responsibilities with integrity, enthusiasm, creativity, flexibility, cooperation, and humor Applicants should supply the following: A cover letter to Matthew Sharp, Head of School; resume/curriculum vitae; statement of educational philosophy; and list of 3 references or three letters of recommendation, to: employment@hfsfriends.org (Include 'ECC Teacher Position' in the subject line)
