Lead Preschool Teacher

We are looking for a Lead Preschool Teacher to prepare 2.5-3.5 year old children for Pre-K by easing them into organized education and nurture their social, emotional, and cognitive well being. This classroom uses creative curriculum and participates in NJ Grow. Pay rate is based on experience and if you hold a degree. Experience in childcare and with creative curriculum is preferred but patience and love for children is required!

Hours:

Monday through Friday 7:45 am to 4:45 pm Responsibilities Develop a careful and creative schedule and lesson plans that are suitable for preschool children. Organize activities through out the day Lead Morning Meeting (storytelling, lessons, educational play, media etc.) Guide children to help them improve their social skills and build self-esteem. Encourage children to interact with each other and improve their problem solving skills Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times Communicate with parents regularly Work with in a team/co-teachers/assistant teachers Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards Change diapers, assist with potty training, make sure the children practice safe, clean, and healthy practices. Skills Excellent communication and instructional skills Love for children Ability to act as mediator between children Holding a CDA, is a plus Patient, friendly, and reliable Certification in child CPR or willing to get certified Experience with Creative Curriculum or following a curriculum Benefits 50% off of childcare, or no copay if you are a part of the voucher program No weekends Accrued sick leave Paid vacation after 1 year Paid Holidays after 6 months
