Daycare Worker/Teacher Paradise Child Care Center Newark, NJ Job Details Full-time 6 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Professional development assistance Childcare Qualifications School experience Spanish CPR Certification Teamwork English Classroom experience Teaching experience with young children Full Job Description The Daycare Center Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children in the daycare program. This position supports children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development through age-appropriate activities and positive interactions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and ensure the safety of all children at all times. Plan and implement daily educational and recreational activities that support learning and development. Promote positive behavior and guide children in developing social and self-help skills. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom or play area. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress, needs, and any incidents. Support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with feeding, diapering, toileting, and nap routines as needed. Observe and record children's growth, behavior, and development for reports and parent conferences. Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations and center policies. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
QUALIFICATION
Bilingual (English and Spanish) Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage in play with children. Must pass background check and meet state licensing requirements.
WORK ENVIRONMNET
Indoor and outdoor classroom settings. May include lifting children, bending, kneeling, and sitting on the floor. Collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere.
