Job Description

Bright Futures Learning & Development Center is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to help launch our new early childhood program in downtown Newark, NJ. Our center serves children ages 6 months to 3 years and is committed to providing high-quality early learning experiences that support children's cognitive, social-emotional, and developmental growth.
Please Note:
Employment offers are contingent upon final center licensing approval. Responsibilities Lead daily classroom instruction and activities for infants and toddlers. Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and learning experiences. Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. Conduct observations and document children's developmental progress. Maintain compliance with New Jersey child care licensing regulations. Build positive relationships with families and provide regular communication regarding children's growth and development. Supervise and support assistant teachers and classroom aides. Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety standards. Qualifications CDA, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Minimum one year of experience working with infants and/or toddlers. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices. Strong communication and classroom management skills. CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain. Ability to pass all required background checks and fingerprinting. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with children with developmental delays or special needs. Experience collaborating with speech, occupational, behavioral, or family support professionals. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
