In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support the growth and curiosity of toddlers. Your passion for early childhood education will inspire children to explore, learn, and thrive in a safe, supportive setting. Responsibilities Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development tailored specifically for toddlers. Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management. Foster strong relationships with children by providing attentive care that supports their physical health, emotional well-being, and overall development. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address individual needs—including those related to special education or early intervention—and ensure a cohesive approach to learning. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, developmental milestones, and assessments aligned with childhood development standards and standardized testing when applicable. Implement classroom management strategies to promote safety, discipline, and respectful interactions among children and staff. Participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education practices, Montessori methods, or other specialized teaching techniques such as preschool experience or childcare best practices. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management techniques specific to toddlers. Experience in curriculum development with an emphasis on literacy education, math instruction, and physical education tailored for early learners. Proven ability to work with children in diverse settings including daycare centers, private schools, or preschool environments. Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists such as those involved in special education or early intervention programs. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies suited for toddlers. Skilled in behavior management strategies that foster positive social interactions and emotional regulation among young children. Familiarity with classroom experience requirements including lesson planning, standardized testing procedures (if applicable), and child welfare standards.
