After Care Teacher's Assistant / Aide & Substitute Part-Time | Peace Rose Montessori School | Sayreville, NJ Are you energetic, nurturing, and love spending time with children? We are looking for a responsible and caring individual to join our After Care team!

Schedule:

Monday•Friday, 1:45 PM•6:00

PM On Early Dismissal Days:

11:45 AM•6:00 PM Must be 18 or older

What You'll Do:

After Care Responsibilities:

Plan and assist lead teacher with a warm, engaging afternoon program including music and movement, outdoor play, crafts, storytelling, art, and games Create weekly and seasonal art projects Actively interact and play alongside children: building with LEGOs, dancing, reading stories, or playing board games Greet families warmly at pick-up time Serve as a liaison between parents and the lead teacher, communicating any important information from the day Keep afternoon teachers informed of any After Care updates via note, phone, email, or text Assist with cleaning and preparing classrooms and restrooms for the following day

During School Hours/Substitute Coverage:

Support the lead teacher with classroom activities, child care, and classroom management Help maintain a tidy and organized classroom environment Step in to cover classrooms as needed throughout the school

What We're Looking For:

High school diploma or GED required Must be 18 or older Experience working with young children preferred (babysitting, childcare, or parenting experience counts!) Reliable, flexible, and patient with a genuine love for children
