Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Infant / Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages 0-3. You will be responsible for supporting their cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development through play-based learning, responsive caregiving, and strong communication with families.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, responsive care to infants and toddlers, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote development in key domains (motor skills, language, social-emotional, and cognitive). Maintain daily routines including feeding, diapering, sleeping, and play schedules. Observe and document children's developmental progress and communicate with parents regularly. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom. Ensure compliance with state and local childcare regulations, licensing standards, and center policies. Work collaboratively with teaching team and participate in staff meetings and professional development. Foster a trusting, respectful relationship with each child and their family.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; CDA or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare setting. Knowledge of child development, especially ages 0-3. Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and engage in active floor play. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Background check and health screenings required.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with early learning frameworks (e.g., Creative Curriculum) Bilingual ability is a plus. Passion for nurturing young children and supporting their early learning journey.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$15.90 - $17.00 per hour
