Opportunities for ongoing development and career advancement within the Academy. Position Summary The Early Childhood Educator plays a vital role in creating a positive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities Curriculum Support:

Assist in implementing daily curriculum and lesson plans, adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Child Supervision & Care:

Provide attentive supervision and support children's daily care routines, including feeding, diapering, and naptime.

Inclusion & Behavior Management:

Apply inclusive practices and positive behavior management strategies, including support for children with special needs such as autism.

Team Collaboration & Communication:

Work collaboratively with colleagues to assess student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians. Education & Certification Requirements Kidz Academy is a high-quality NM Pre-K, FOCUS

• 5-STAR center.

Candidates must meet New Mexico state requirements based on their role. All employees must complete 30 hours of NMECE training within the first 90 days of employment.

Preferred:

Minimum of 1 year of childcare experience (not required for all roles). Qualifications for

Lead Roles:

Bachelor's degree (BA) in Early Childhood Education (ECE), or active enrollment in a BA ECE program; OR Bachelor's degree in another field with at least 18 credit hours in ECE; OR Completion of at least two ECE courses toward the NM CDC, a CDA credential, or an AA/BA in ECE (FOCUS 5-STAR requirement). Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience (required). Essential Skills & Physical Requirements Ability to perform First Aid and CPR (training provided) Strong awareness of child safety and ability to respond quickly to potential hazards. Ability to lift to 40 pounds. Ability to remain alert, attentive, and engaged throughout the workday. Ability to make sound, timely decisions regarding child safety and well-being. Ability to safely operate a vehicle, if required for the position. Ability to create a physically, emotionally, and mentally safe environment for all children.
