This position begins immediately through the end of June, with potential for a permanent Assistant Teacher role (and possible full-time opportunities and hire pay) for the 2026-2027 school year. • 1:30 PM Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing attentive care and supervision to children Assisting teachers with daily classroom activities and routines Supporting children during teacher-led lessons and learning centers Helping prepare art projects and classroom materials Maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy learning environment Reporting any suspected child abuse in accordance with state guidelines Following all preschool policies and procedures Assisting with additional tasks as needed by staff and administration Ideal Candidate Loves working with young children (ages 3-5) Team player with a positive, flexible attitude Reliable and punctual Able to follow direction and take initiative Previous childcare or preschool experience preferred (but not required) Must be willing and able to complete all required ECECD trainings and background checks within required timelines About Us Early Learning Preschool is a parent cooperative preschool serving Rio Rancho families since 1983.
