Lead Teacher/Director Position Overview:
Our Children's Place seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Education Teacher to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years old. The teacher will create and implement engaging curriculum plans, encourage developmental milestones, foster social and emotional growth, and ensure the overall physical and mental well-being of every child. This role requires a collaborative approach, effective communication with parents, and a commitment to creating a positive learning space.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state and federal standards, ensuring activities are age-appropriate and encourage learning through storytelling, games, and hands-on projects. Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes inclusivity, establishes clear expectations for behavior, and provides individualized attention to children as needed. Foster cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development through play-based learning and structured activities. Build strong relationships with parents and guardians by regularly updating their child's progress, hosting parent-teacher conferences, and collaboratively addressing concerns. Actively participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to remain current on best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
Candidates should hold an associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field and have prior experience teaching in an early childhood setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and parents.
Physical Requirements:
Lift and carry children or objects up to 40 pounds. Engage with children at their level, including sitting on the floor. Perform responsibilities both indoors and outdoors as part of a dynamic educational environment.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with standard hours but may occasionally require evening or weekend availability for special events or meetings.
