SUMMER teaching position

Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as the Pre-K Teacher for the summer, providing engaging educational experiences for children during the summer months. As a Summer Teacher, you will create a positive classroom atmosphere, implement fun and educational activities, and support children's social and emotional development. Responsibilities Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons that promote early childhood education, literacy, arts, sports, or other enrichment activities. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Foster a safe and inclusive environment by adhering to all safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary. Support children's social-emotional development through Christian counseling principles or other nurturing approaches. Coordinate with school staff or childcare teams to ensure smooth daily operations and seamless transitions between activities. Engage children in interactive play, tutoring sessions, theater activities, or sports coaching to enhance their skills and confidence. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress and well-being. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, babysitting, or early childhood education is highly preferred. Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and adaptability. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies. Certification in first aid and CPR is a bonus; additional certifications in special education or childcare are a plus. Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of children and support their individual needs. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, parents, and children. Passion for working with students in a summer camp or daycare environment with an energetic and positive attitude.
