The Suffolk Y JCC is looking for hard working, professional Lead Teachers for our newly updated infant rooms. Do you love working with children and making a difference in their lives? Candidates will lead a class of young children, supporting their educational, social and emotional needs. Our program includes enriching music, physical fitness and cultural programs all within our community center. We offer a competitive salary, paid sick, vacation and personal days. Essential Functions Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for the ages of the children in their charge promote each child's cognitive, educational, social, cultural, physical, emotional and recreational development Establish and implement programs and activities Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards. Communicate directly with parents to achieve success for each child. Maintain a positive and collaborative relationship with all children and their families

Educational Requirements:

AA or BA in Education or a CDA with a concentration in infant/toddler education and one year experience in a related field working with children Physical Demands and Work Environment Employee must have the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing Employee must have the ability to handle, manipulate, or control objects with hands and fingers Employee must have the ambulatory ability to stand, walk, sit, and reach for objects Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds Employee must have visual acuity, including close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust vision focus Employee must have the ability to focus and work efficiently in an environment with low to moderate noise level Skills and/or

Experience Required:

Experience working with young children in a child care setting Must have infant
