  • Full-time Job Overview Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Summer Camp Staff member for preschool age children and ignite the spirit of adventure, learning, and growth in children!
In this energetic role, you will create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where kids can explore new activities, develop essential skills, and build lifelong memories. Whether guiding outdoor adventures, leading creative arts, or supporting educational programs, your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire young minds to thrive throughout the summer season. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience in childcare, education, and youth development. Duties Supervise children ages 3-7 during various camp activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times Lead and facilitate recreational activities such as sports, arts and crafts, theater performances, and team-building exercises Manage classroom settings or activity stations with effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior Provide first aid and respond promptly to any health or safety concerns following established protocols Support children with special needs or learning differences by implementing tailored activities and accommodations Assist with daily camp routines including check-in/check-out procedures, snack times, and rest periods Foster a welcoming environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and personal growth among campers Skills Strong experience in working with children across various age groups, including early childhood education or daycare experience Proficiency in classroom management and behavior management strategies to maintain a positive environment Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and first aid protocols for emergencies Background in teaching or tutoring young children with an understanding of childhood development principles Experience in special education or youth programs teaching is highly desirable Ability to lead sports coaching sessions or recreational activities that promote physical activity and teamwork Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively Embark on an exciting summer journey where your energy fuels fun and learning!
