Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant educational team as a Universal Pre-K Teacher, where your passion for early childhood development will inspire young learners to explore, discover, and grow. In this dynamic role, you will create engaging learning environments that foster curiosity and support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool children. Your expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, and working with diverse learners will help lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. We are accountable to Liverpool Central Schools in implementing CKLA, Second Step, Heggerty Phonics and Eureka Math curricula. Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports children's individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that enhance their cognitive, motor, and social skills through play-based learning and structured lessons. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support children's development and ensure a cohesive educational experience. Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining safety protocols and promoting child welfare within a daycare or preschool setting. Use standardized testing and formative assessments to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly. Incorporate specialized teaching methods to foster independence and critical thinking skills among preschoolers. Experience Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children in early childhood education settings such as daycare centers or private schools. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across various domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and behavior management strategies. Experience working with children requiring special education services or early intervention programs is highly desirable. Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Familiarity with classroom management techniques that promote a positive learning environment and support diverse learner needs. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in toddler care, preschool instruction, and childcare environments. Certification or training in early childhood education standards. Pay:
$24.00 - $25.00 per hour
