Job Description
Job Summary My Little One Group Family Daycare is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Daycare Assistant to help provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. The Daycare Assistant will support daily classroom routines, supervise children, assist with learning and play activities, help maintain cleanliness and organization, and work closely with the Provider to ensure quality care for all children in the program. We are looking for someone who is patient, responsible, attentive, and passionate about working with children in a family daycare setting. Responsibilities Supervise and monitor children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being Assist with daily daycare routines, including meals, naps, toileting, transitions, and playtime Support age-appropriate educational, creative, and recreational activities Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe daycare environment Assist with diapering, potty training, and hygiene routines as needed Encourage positive behavior, social interaction, and emotional development Follow daycare policies, health and safety procedures, and licensing requirements Communicate professionally and respectfully with the Provider, staff, children, and families Help prepare materials, set up activities, and clean up throughout the day Perform other childcare-related duties as assigned Qualifications Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, school, babysitting, or similar setting preferred Must be reliable, punctual, patient, and able to work well with children and adults Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow instructions and maintain professionalism at all times Must be able to actively engage with children throughout the day, including sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and assisting with daily activities Must meet all required background, health, and training requirements applicable to childcare staff Preferred Qualities Warm, nurturing, and attentive personality Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced childcare environment Genuine passion for early childhood care and development Why Join Us?
