Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team. This is a Group Family Daycare in my home. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our daycare facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This position involves working closely with children of various ages, including infants and toddlers, to promote their development and well-being through engaging activities and attentive care. Responsibilities Assist in the supervision of children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning. Support children with special needs or disabilities by providing individualized care and attention. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Collaborate with lead teachers to develop lesson plans and classroom management strategies. Provide care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed. Engage in behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions among children. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to early childhood education. Skills First aid certification is preferred for ensuring child safety. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued. Background in preschool education or early childhood development is essential. Previous experience in childcare settings such as daycare, nannying, or babysitting is beneficial. Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment. Ability to engage effectively with children through teaching methods that cater to their developmental stages. Knowledge of toddler care practices and infant care techniques is important for this role. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff members.
