Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of children by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Your enthusiasm for working with children and your ability to foster positive growth will help lay the foundation for their future success. Responsibilities Assist in supervising children during daily activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement. Support classroom management by organizing activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Implement age-appropriate educational activities that stimulate learning and curiosity in preschoolers, toddlers, infants, and children with special needs. Provide basic caregiving duties such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed. Collaborate with lead teachers and specialists to develop individualized care plans for children with disabilities or special educational needs. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary, to ensure the well-being of every child. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus. Classroom experience involving behavior management techniques and activity planning is advantageous. Certification in first aid or CPR is desirable; ongoing training in early childhood education or caregiving is beneficial. Familiarity with infant care, toddler care, and working within a classroom management framework will support your success in this role.
