Child Care UPK teacher

Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning aligned with early childhood education standards. Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Manage classroom activities to foster positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies. Engage with children through age-appropriate lessons, hands-on activities, and interactive play to stimulate curiosity and learning. Collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists to support each child's developmental progress and welfare. Conduct assessments to monitor progress using standardized testing methods and document developmental milestones. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages independence and exploration. Requirements Experience in a Childcare or school setting. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development strategies. Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention strategies. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, staff, and external specialists. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and social skills development. NYS Certification in Early Childhood Education or becoming certified required.

Pay:

$21.83 - $26.29 per hour
