Overview Join our vibrant team as a Nature Preschool Teacher and ignite a lifelong love of learning and the outdoors in young children! In this dynamic role, you will foster curiosity, creativity, and development through engaging outdoor activities and thoughtfully designed curriculum. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education and nature-based learning will inspire children to explore their environment while building essential social, emotional, and cognitive skills. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives in a supportive, innovative setting. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum focused on outdoor exploration, environmental awareness, and early childhood education principles. Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth. Plan and facilitate hands-on activities that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and sensory play within natural settings. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and individualized behavior management techniques. Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that align with standards for preschool education, including Montessori methods when applicable. Support children's development in areas such as language skills, fine and gross motor skills, and early intervention strategies for diverse learning needs. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or special needs. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare environments; classroom management skills are essential. Knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education. Experience with curriculum development that integrates literacy education, math, physical education, and sensory activities. Familiarity with special education strategies, early intervention techniques, and behavior management approaches. Prior classroom experience with toddlers or preschool-aged children is highly preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Certification or training in early childhood education is a plus. Passion for outdoor learning environments and commitment to child welfare and safety standards.
