Before and After School Child Care SCOPE Education Services - 3.3 Lynbrook, NY Job Details Part-time $22.50 an hour 5 days ago Benefits Paid training Employee discount Retirement plan Qualifications Some college First Aid Certification Physical Education Emergency response readiness Manual handling Early Childhood Education Full Job Description SCOPE Education Services is looking for Assistant Site Directors for the 2026-2027 school year, for our before and after school programs located in the Lynbrook School District. The hours for the positions are 7:00am - 8:30am and 3:00pm - 6:30pm on days when school is in session.

OFFERED. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Supervises children to maintain a safe environment. Implements daily schedule of age-appropriate activities; assists in program planning. Assists with set up and cleanup of daily activities and snacks. Reinforces behavior management strategies utilized by Site Director. Ensures compliance with all SCOPE policies and procedures and OCFS Regulations. Administers emergency medication when necessary. Communicates with parents as required. Assists the Site Director with maintaining appropriate records. Performs duties and responsibilities of Site Director during their absence.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
: Must be able to successfully complete a physical examination by a medical doctor specifically relevant to having TB immunization and being healthy enough to work with children. Must be able to complete 15 hours of paid inservice training on required OCFS topics annually. (Training will be provided). Must be able to complete other training requirements as from time to time may be required. Must complete First Aid/CPR Certification and Medication Administration training and keep certification current.
TIME AND LOCATION REQUIREMENTS
must be available to work extra hours if needed to maintain ratio. Must accept a temporary or permanent assignment change if needed. Must have ability to perform general physical activities including but not limited to bending, standing, and walking all for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 20 pounds regularly. Must be able to maintain alertness in observing and dealing with situations involving groups of children. Must have adequate speaking, hearing, and vision sufficient to handle groups of children. Must have the ability to effectively handle emergency situations and react accordingly. Must be able to maintain regular attendance, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
: Two years of college with 18 credits in Early Childhood Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field and two years' experience working with children under the age of 13 is preferred. Candidates without required college credits may be considered if they have at least 5 years of experience working with children under the age of 13.
