Job Description

Overview In this role, you will support early childhood development by assisting lead teachers in implementing educational activities, ensuring classroom safety and cleanliness, supervising children, and communicating with parents. Responsibilities Support classroom activities by helping implement age-appropriate lessons and play-based learning experiences for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Assist with daily routines in infant and toddler rooms, such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene to promote comfort and well-being Maintain a safe and clean environment by following health and safety protocols at all times Engage children through interactive play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational games to foster social skills and creativity Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's day-to-day activities and developmental updates Skills Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar settings Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently; certification is preferred but not required Strong understanding of classroom management techniques for different age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Compassionate caregiving skills with a focus on working with individuals with disabilities or special needs when applicable Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and team members Ability to handle challenging behaviors through effective behavior management strategies This role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about nurturing young minds. $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
