Job Description

Job Overview Partime Daycare Assistant to work 2pm-6pm or 3pm-6pm Monday through Friday Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an afternoon Daycare Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with child supervision, and promote positive development during the afternoon hours. Your energy and compassion will contribute to a joyful atmosphere that encourages learning, exploration, and social growth for children in our care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Responsibilities Supervise children during afternoon activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Arrive promptly and must be reliable and flexible. Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities focused on childhood development and learning milestones Support children with their daily routines including snack time, play and bathroom needs Engage children in play-based learning experiences that foster social skills, creativity, and emotional regulation Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards Follow mandated reporting laws by observing and documenting any concerns related to child welfare or behavior management issues Collaborate with lead teachers and caregivers to support individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities Apply classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and conflict resolution among children Assist with diapering or infant care as needed, ensuring proper hygiene practices are followed Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding daily activities and developmental progress
Experience:
Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred but not needed. Will train.
