Daycare Worker Young Creators Group Family Daycare, LLC Mount Vernon, NY Job Details Part-time $130 - $150 a day 20 hours ago Qualifications Family collaboration in education Emergency procedures Child development instruction Parent communication in school administration Mandated reporting laws Pediatric first aid Student engagement classroom management Full Job Description Overview In need of a Daycare/childcare female person to become a vital part of creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. In this role, you will support early childhood development by engaging children in educational activities, ensuring their safety, and fostering positive social interactions. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and well-being, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. Responsibilities Supervise 6 children and care across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety at all times Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills Maintain a clean, organized environment Support children's emotional needs through positive behavior management and effective communication Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and outdoor play Monitor children's progress and communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's development and well-being Requirements Reliability is very important Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and empathy Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively Excellent communication skills to collaborate and connect with children's families Join us in creating a joyful, supportive space where children can thrive!
