You will play a key role in creating and defining the Friendship For Tots culture by supporting an innovative, hands-on, emergent curriculum designed for the children in your care. Friendship For Tots prides itself on an environment where children, families, and staff all thrive. We are currently seeking a Head Teacher for one of our grade levels this school year. Friendship For Tots Head Teachers administer, manage, and oversee the day-to-day operations of their classroom, ensures provision of services to Friendship For Tots families, and ensures the implementation of a developmentally appropriate program that meets New York State and Friendship For Tots philosophy and guidelines. At Friendship For Tots, every day brings something new and as a Head Teacher you will have a chance to inspire the passion in your students and enhance quality early childcare. We are looking for teachers for our 2026-2027 School Year.
Requirements:
  • Spanish speaking (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education with at least one year experience or currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience working with children ages 2-4 years old
  • Mature, energetic, compassionate, self-motivated individual
  • Flexible and able to multi-task
  • Computer literate
  • Work well independently and as part of team
