Job Description

Casa Primary | Tribeca, New York City Infant, Toddler & Children's House (Pre-K) Openings Full-Time | 2026-2027 Casa Primary is seeking thoughtful, observant, and deeply engaged early childhood educators to join our growing team in Tribeca for the 2026-2027 school year. We currently have openings for educators with experience working with: Infants (4 weeks-18 months) Toddlers (18 months-3 years) Children's House / Pre-K (3-5 years) Casa Primary is a Montessori-inspired family membership club, playschool, and cultural community designed to support both children and the adults who care for them. Our environment blends the principles of Montessori education with a deep respect for childhood, creativity, independence, movement, nature, literacy, wellness, and community. We are looking for educators who see teaching as both a practice and a calling—individuals who are curious, reflective, collaborative, and genuinely enjoy building meaningful relationships with children and families.

View children as capable, intelligent, and worthy of deep respect Are careful observers and listeners Understand that learning happens through relationships, play, exploration, and meaningful experiences Can create calm, beautiful, and thoughtfully prepared environments Are warm, nurturing, and emotionally attuned Value collaboration and lifelong learning Are excited to contribute to a growing and innovative educational community ResponsibilitiesChild Development & Classroom Leadership Create and maintain a warm, engaging, and prepared environment Support children's independence, confidence, and social-emotional development Observe children carefully and use observations to guide experiences and curriculum Foster curiosity through practical life, language, literacy, art, movement, music, nature, and exploration Guide children with patience, respect, consistency, and clear boundaries Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and developmental needs of every child are met Family Communication Build trusting relationships with families Communicate regularly regarding children's experiences, growth, and development Participate in parent conferences and family meetings Support workshops, community gatherings, and family events throughout the year Documentation & Reflection Document children's work, discoveries, and developmental progress Contribute to classroom displays, newsletters, and parent communication Reflect regularly on teaching practice and professional growth Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and professional development opportunities Community Participation Collaborate thoughtfully with fellow educators, specialists, and leadership Contribute positively to Casa Primary's culture and community Support special events, seasonal celebrations, and family programming Help maintain the beauty, organization, and calm rhythm of the environment Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience working with young children Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, Montessori Education, or a related field preferred Montessori training or experience strongly preferred CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable using technology for communication and documentation Passion for child development and family-centered education The Ideal Candidate You are someone who: Finds joy in spending time with children Notices the small details others miss Brings warmth and steadiness to a room Values beauty, order, and intentionality Is dependable, proactive, and collaborative Understands that relationships are at the heart of meaningful education Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation based on education and experience Health benefits available for eligible employees Paid professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative team environment Access to ongoing mentorship and coaching Opportunities for growth within a rapidly expanding organization To Apply Please submit: Resume Cover Letter References Applications may be sent to: Primary Team hello@casaprimary.com About Casa Primary Casa Primary is a private family membership club and Montessori-inspired playschool located in the heart of Tribeca.
