In this dynamic role, you will support the development and well-being of young children in a nurturing classroom environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a love of learning, promote social-emotional growth, and ensure a safe, engaging space for children to explore and thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development Support children during daily routines such as meal times, nap times, diapering, and outdoor play Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by following health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and child care standards Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones to inform teaching strategies Engage with children through play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and educational activities that stimulate growth and curiosity Foster positive behavior management techniques to encourage cooperation and social skills among children Collaborate with team members to plan classroom activities that meet individual needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements Skills Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, nannying or babysitting roles Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations using pediatric first aid skills Strong communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Compassionate caregiving approach with patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with children Join us in creating a joyful learning environment where every child feels valued and supported!
