Job Description

Job Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children. In this role, you will support lead teachers in implementing educational activities, ensuring the well-being of children from infants to preschoolers, and fostering their social, emotional, and developmental growth. Your positive energy and proactive approach will contribute to a joyful learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity and confidence. Duties Assist in supervising children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure their safety and comfort Support classroom management by helping organize materials, set up learning stations, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including sensory play, storytelling, arts and crafts, and outdoor exploration Provide basic caregiving duties such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed Collaborate with lead teachers to observe and document each child's progress and behavior for ongoing development assessments Follow health and safety protocols diligently, including administering first aid when necessary and maintaining hygiene standards Preferred Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred but not required Bilingual (Spanish) Requirements Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones Certification in first aid and CPR is required; On site training available for free ; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus Strong classroom management skills coupled with the ability to handle behavior management strategies effectively Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage positively with children and parents Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and enthusiasm A genuine passion for nurturing young minds and supporting their growth through caring caregiving practices Join us in making a meaningful difference in children's lives! Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
