Job Description

Our client is looking for caring, nurturing, and energetic full-time Early Childhood Teachers to join their premier preschool in West Islip, NY. The ideal candidate must be willing to work with children 6-weeks to 5-years-old; as well as be comfortable with diapering and toilet training. This is a Direct Hire position with the school Full-Time; Monday-Friday; year-round employment
Open Positions Assistant and Lead Infant Teachers:
working with children 6 weeks to 18 months and the shift could be 8:00am to 5:00pm, 8:15am to 5:00pm, or 12:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday through
Friday Assistant and Lead Toddler Teachers:
working with children 2 years old and the shift could be 8:00am to 5:00pm or 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through
Friday Lead Preschool Teacher:
working with children 3 years old and the shift will be 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through
Friday Assistant and Lead Pre-K Teachers:
working with children 4 years old and the shift could be 7:45am to 3:00pm, Monday through
Friday Floater Teachers:
working with children 6 weeks to 5 years old and the shift will be 8:15am to 5:15pm, Monday through
Friday Salary Lead Pre-K Teachers:
$38K to $45K/year pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
Lead Infant, Toddler, and Preschool Teachers:
$18.00•22.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
Assistant and Floater Teachers:
$17.00•19.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience Benefits Health Insurance coming September 2026! Responsibilities Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children Responsible for the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum as well as the maintenance of educational portfolios Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities Maintain a clean and organized classroom Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education Qualifications•Lead Pre-K Teacher
REQUIRED
Education:
New York State Teacher certification; Birth through Grade 2 preferred
PREFERRED
Experience:
1 year of experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility; however, we are open to candidates with a valid New York State certification and less experience! Qualifications•Lead Infant, Toddler, or Preschool Teacher
REQUIRED
Education:
Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification or higher
REQUIRED
Experience:
1 year of experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility or in a similar environment Qualifications•Assistant and Floater Teacher

High School Diploma
REQUIRED
Experience:
6 months of experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years in any capacity Qualifications•All Positions Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations•for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib Must meet background check eligibility Must be at least 18-years-old Don't meet every qualification?
