Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula that promote curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your role is vital in creating a safe, inclusive space where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Duties Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, incorporating curriculum development principles and innovative teaching methods. Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that supports toddler care, preschool experience, and special education needs. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being among children. Engage children in literacy education, math activities, physical education, and other age-appropriate learning experiences that foster holistic development. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address individual needs related to childhood development, and support child welfare initiatives. Supervise classroom activities ensuring effective classroom management and adherence to safety protocols. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools and provide tailored tutoring or intervention strategies as needed for early intervention success. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and developmental milestones in compliance with licensing requirements. Support the professional growth of assistant teachers by mentoring and providing ongoing training in classroom management, lesson planning, and working with children with diverse needs. Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles including Montessori methods and toddler care techniques. Expertise in curriculum development focused on literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and special education accommodations. Proven experience working with children across various developmental stages within daycare or private school settings. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Skilled in behavior management strategies that foster positive classroom environments. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing insights and promote active learning. Familiarity with childhood development theories and early intervention practices to support individual learning needs. Classroom management expertise ensuring a safe, organized space conducive to learning and exploration. Experience in tutoring or providing targeted support for children requiring additional assistance in literacy or math skills.
