Job Description

Lead Teacher Duties:
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for children in accordance with state guidelines.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
  • Lead and supervise a classroom of children, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage children in various subjects such as behavioral health, physical education, math, and more.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Conduct assessments to track the progress and development of each child.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns or updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and other relevant information.
Skills:
  • CDA, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a daycare or educational setting is preferred but not necessary.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and handle behavioral challenges.
  • Patience, compassion, and the ability to connect with children on an individual level.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
