Woodside, NY Job Details Part-time $20 - $22 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Teaching experience with young children Full Job Description Bean and Sprout Kids Center, a new Montessori Daycare in Woodside (Queens, NY) conveniently located next to the Subway station, is seeking qualified and experienced Substitute Teachers to join the team, and work under the leadership of the Education Director and Group Teacher for our infant through Pre-K programs. We are seeking experienced
Substitute Teachers Qualification:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have the following qualifications
  • Associate's degree in early childhood education a plus, or Baccalaureate in any other academic subject
  • Must be passionate about educating and nurturing young minds; Caring, kind, patient, responsible, reliable, organized, hardworking and team-oriented
  • Fluency in a second language is preferred, Bilingual Spanish or Chinese speaking is a plus
  • Must have Pre-employment verification, Screening clearance, and necessary training before the start of employment Job responsibility: Supporting the
Group Teacher :
Assisting with the planning and execution of daily activities, following lesson plans, and helping to maintain a structured learning environment.
Child Supervision :
Overseeing children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times. This includes monitoring them during play, meals, nap times, and other activities.
Classroom Management :
Helping to prepare materials for activities, setting up equipment, and ensuring the classroom is clean and organized.
Interaction and Engagement :
Engaging children in interactive activities that promote social, physical, and intellectual growth. This may include reading stories, leading games, and facilitating art projects.
Communication :
Assisting in maintaining open lines of communication with parents, providing updates on their child's day and development.
Health and Safety :
Ensuring all activities are conducted in a safe manner and responding to any emergencies or injuries.
Developmental Monitoring :
Observing children's interactions and behaviors for signs of developmental issues, and reporting concerns to the group teacher or daycare director.
Administrative Assistance :
Helping with clerical tasks like recording attendance, preparing newsletters, or organizing records of children's progress. Covering the teachers' lunch breaks Taking care of kids in after care
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
