The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for preschool-aged children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational strategies aligned with early childhood standards. Experience with children, classroom management, and a strong understanding of childhood development are essential to ensure each child's individual needs are met in a safe and stimulating setting. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum incorporating literacy education, and math. Plan and execute daily lesson plans that promote active learning and developmental milestones. Manage classroom activities to ensure a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children. Use behavior management techniques to support social-emotional growth and address behavioral challenges effectively. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address individual needs. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques when necessary. Ensure the safety, welfare, and well-being of all children in accordance with child welfare standards. Maintain accurate records related to children's development, assessments, and standardized testing results. Support classroom organization, including materials preparation and maintaining a clean learning environment. Participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, literacy, STEM activities, and classroom management. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices. Experience with curriculum development across various subjects including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Proven classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment. Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings; familiarity with toddler care is a plus. Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Knowledge of special education principles and early intervention programs. Ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners including those requiring additional support or accommodations. Experience with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment. Familiarity with child welfare policies and best practices in childcare settings. Previous experience in private schools or Montessori classrooms is advantageous.
