Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a Pre-K Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curricula that promote early childhood education, literacy, social-emotional growth, and physical development. Your energetic approach will motivate children to explore, learn, and grow while ensuring their safety and well-being. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori methods when applicable. Create a vibrant classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social interaction among preschool children. Use effective classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and maintain a safe, inclusive space for all students. Incorporate curriculum development techniques focused on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and sensory activities to support holistic growth. Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians about student progress, behavior management strategies, and developmental milestones. Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of children with diverse learning styles, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools when appropriate to monitor progress and inform instruction. Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary activities that enhance classroom learning experiences. Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental assessments, and lesson plans in compliance with childcare regulations. Participate in professional development opportunities related to childhood development, classroom management, and innovative teaching practices. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom experience is essential. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains such as literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized early childhood educational approaches is preferred. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Ability to manage a classroom efficiently while fostering a positive learning environment through effective classroom management skills. Experience working with students requiring special education accommodations or behavioral support plans is a plus. Certification in early childhood education or equivalent credentials required; additional training in child welfare or toddler care is advantageous. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to preschool assessment is desirable. Passion for nurturing young children's growth and a lively approach to teaching that energizes learners.
