Child Care Floater/Substitute - Gibbs Community Learning Center YMCA of Central Stark County - 5.0 Canton, OH Job Details Part-time $12.35 - $13.35 an hour 5 days ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description In search of: Early Childhood Floater/Sub who will serve as a professional role model for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school agers by leading through example, encouraging healthy and safe behaviors, and creating a positive experience while ensuring safety and proper supervision. Be a part of an amazing team of YMCA staff focused on teaching teamwork and social skills and supporting children as they grow and learn! Position Description:
Flexible shifts between 6:30am-6:00pm Monday through Friday Hours vary to meet your needs (up to 30 hours per week) Able to assist in multiple age groups and tasks Able to assist during meals and nap times in classrooms Supervises the children, classroom, and all activities. Maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents. Maintains program site and equipment. Maintains required program records. Maintains training in First aid, CPR, Communicable Diseases and Child Abuse Awareness as well as 10 hours of Ohio Approved training per year. (trainings provided by YMCA and affiliates) Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 18 years old High school Diploma/GED Ability to be on feet for 3-5 hours at a time leading and participating in activities
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in an infant/toddler setting
Starting Pay:
$12.35-$13.35/HR •Part-time staff receive complimentary memberships and discounted rates for child care and most programs.
Pay:
$12.35 - $13.35 per hour
