Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Older Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners during their critical early childhood years. In this vital role, you will lead a vibrant classroom environment, fostering growth, curiosity, and independence among toddlers. Your passion for early childhood education will shine as you create engaging activities that promote development across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains. As a leader in our team, you will guide assistant teachers, implement curriculum plans, and ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating space for every child to thrive. Responsibilities Lead daily classroom activities focused on toddler development, ensuring a balanced mix of play, learning, and rest. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones. Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages social interaction, exploration, and creativity among toddlers. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high-quality care and educational standards. Ensure all safety protocols are followed rigorously Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's development, daily activities, and any concerns or achievements. Skills Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, specifically with toddlers. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Ability to manage classroom behavior with positive behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR - can be trained after hire Excellent classroom management skills combined with nurturing caregiving abilities. Experience in curriculum planning tailored for toddler children. Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills who can foster trust with children and families alike.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
