In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a safe, supportive environment that promotes growth and curiosity. Your expertise in toddler care, childhood development, and classroom management will ensure each child receives personalized attention and educational enrichment. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development, literacy education, and early intervention strategies tailored to toddlers' needs. Lead daily classroom activities that promote social-emotional growth, physical development, and foundational academic skills such as math and early literacy. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, ensuring a respectful and inclusive environment for all children. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support each child's welfare through regular updates and parent meetings. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth within the classroom setting. Maintain detailed records of each child's progress, including assessments aligned with standardized testing where applicable, to inform instruction and report to parents or guardians. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper toddler care practices, childcare standards, and child welfare policies. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with toddlers or preschool-aged students. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies such as preschool experience or special education approaches. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, staff, and community partners. Familiarity with lesson planning tools, standardized testing procedures, and early intervention programs. Certification in early childhood education or related field; additional training in toddler care or Montessori certification is a plus. Passion for working with young children and commitment to fostering a nurturing learning environment.
