Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and reliable Daycare Staff Opener to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be the first to welcome children and families into our center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment from the moment the day begins. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will set the tone for a positive day of learning, play, and growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's development while working in a supportive and dynamic setting. Responsibilities Greet children, parents, and staff warmly as they arrive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Prepare classrooms with age-appropriate activities and materials that promote childhood development and learning. Conduct safety checks of the facility, ensuring all areas are clean, organized, and hazard-free. Assist with diapering, infant care routines, and toddler care as needed to support daily needs. Implement classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and social skills among children. Collaborate with team members to plan engaging activities that support early childhood education standards. Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate any concerns or incidents to supervisors promptly. Experience Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Experience with classroom management techniques that promote a safe and nurturing environment. Familiarity with first aid procedures and certification is a plus; training can be provided if necessary. Background in special education or working with children with disabilities is advantageous. Previous nannying or babysitting experience demonstrating responsibility and caregiving skills. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
Pay:
$15.50 - $17.00 per hour
