Responsibilities and Duties To establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment To advance physical and intellectual competence To support social and emotional development and provide positive guidance To participate in daily teaching interactions To establish positive and productive relationships with families To ensure a well-run, purposeful program responsive to participant needs To maintain a commitment to professionalism Qualifications and Skills Ability to handle crisis situations, especially relating to children Flexibility in work hours and assignment Must be able to life 40 pounds A love for children and experience working with young kids Familiarity with state licensing rules and regulations Customer service skills A clean background check. Ability to hear the conversational voice, with or without a hearing aid Ability to see and read newsprint, with or without corrective lenses Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feed with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies.
