The health and safety of all employees, visitors, customers, and volunteers is always expected. This position is responsible for the daily planning, implementation, and supervision of classroom activities in compliance with the Child Care Center's philosophy, policies, and procedures. This position is responsible for monitoring the Assistant Teachers and Floaters. B)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

a. Plan, implement, and monitor daily classroom activities, in compliance with the Child Care Center's philosophy, policies, and procedures. b. Develop and implement lesson plans in accordance with state and federal guidelines for curriculum. c. Tailor daily and regular activities and differentiating instruction to accommodate and meet the needs and limitations, special talents and interests, and racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. d. Create and foster a classroom culture that nurtures and cares for each child with dignity and respect. e. Plan and arrange field trips that extend and/or enhance children's learning. f. Tailor daily and regular activities and differentiating instruction to accommodate and meet the needs and development levels of each child, to include individual learning styles. g. Serve meals in accordance with all USDA and CACFP standards. h. Assess, document, and monitor the children's educational and developmental progress in compliance with state and federal guidelines. i. Promote good nutritional habits through lessons, activities, and meal engagement. j. Maintain consistently efficient, courteous, and quality service, be it over the counter, written, or verbal to build and maintain strong relationships and rapport with the children and their families. k. Create and maintain a positive impression for incoming and current clients and foster strong, professional, working relationships with all parents. l. Plan, lead and implement parent teacher conferences every six month or as needed. m. Conduct effective communication and collaborate with Child Care Center staff, SSCH staff, and members of the Christ Child Society to ensure the daily operation of the Child Care Center. n. Maintain the confidentiality of all children and their families in compliance with Child Care Center policies and procedures. o. Immediate reporting and documentation of any child or classroom concerns/issues to the Child Care Coordinator and/or a member of the agency leadership team in a high decision-making role. p. Report and document of any child or classroom management concerns/issues to the Child Care Coordinator and/or the Youth and Child Services Director. q. Ensure that all materials and equipment are accessible and are maintained in clean and good condition. r. Share in the housekeeping duties of the classroom and other Child Care Center facilities. s. Provide support and oversight to Assistant Teachers, Teacher Aides, volunteers, and interns as they facilitate classroom activities. t. Maintain Child Care licensure in compliance with State of Ohio requirements. u. Participate in continuing educational activities that contribute to skill development and expertise in providing services to children and their families. v. Attend and maintain current CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse and Neglect, Communicable Disease, and other trainings, as required. w. Facilitate and participate in staff development activities and training experiences, to include assisting with on-site training of new program staff. x. Attend required meetings both internally and externally, as necessary. D)DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY
a. Responsible for reporting and documenting all potential or existing health and safety concerns. b. Must provide guidance and support to all volunteers. c. Consult with supervisor prior to responding to any decision not already covered within his/her regular duties. E)CONTACTS WITHIN/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY

BA Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related i. Bachelor's Degree or Graduate Degree preferred b.Required Experience:
i. OCCRRA Career Pathways Level 3 or higher ii. 3-5 years of experience working with children and/or youth in a NAEYC environment iii. 1-2 years of experience in a customer/public service setting iv. 1-2 years of specific training or skills in First Aid, CPR, Child Abuse & Neglect, Communicable Disease Certifications G)SKILLS REQUIRED
