Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners, ages 3 1/2 - 4 1/2, and foster a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula, manage classroom activities, and support the social-emotional growth of children. Your role is vital in creating a positive foundation for lifelong learning while ensuring each child's safety, well-being, and individual needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori principles to promote holistic childhood development. Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, organized, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and independence. Apply effective behavior management strategies to support positive social interactions and emotional regulation among children. Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and foster strong partnerships centered on child welfare. Lead lesson planning sessions that integrate early intervention techniques and specialized approaches for children with diverse learning needs. Oversee classroom management practices to maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and child engagement throughout the day. Utilize assessment tools to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly. Support professional development by staying current with best practices in early childhood education, including toddler care, childcare standards, and early intervention strategies. Experience Prior experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; at least two years of classroom experience is preferred. Experience managing classrooms with diverse learners, including those requiring special education accommodations or early intervention services. Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Familiarity with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and foster a supportive learning environment.
Pay:
$15.75 - $17.00 per hour
