In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment tailored specifically for toddlers. Your leadership will inspire young learners to explore, develop essential skills, and build a strong foundation for future learning. As a Lead Teacher, you will oversee classroom activities, implement developmentally appropriate curricula, and collaborate closely with families to support each child's unique growth journey. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the critical early years of childhood development while fostering a joyful and safe classroom atmosphere. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy education, social-emotional skills, and physical development tailored for toddlers. Manage daily classroom routines, ensuring a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and exploration. Lead classroom activities focused on early intervention strategies, behavior management techniques, and inclusive practices for children with special educational needs. Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on child progress and developmental milestones. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and childcare staff to ensure high-quality classroom management and adherence to educational standards. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development using standardized testing methods and observational techniques to tailor instruction effectively. Incorporate Montessori principles and other innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences in physical education, math, literacy, and overall childhood development. Experience Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood education settings, particularly with toddlers aged 1-3 years old. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within daycare or preschool environments. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management strategies, and child welfare practices. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners.
