Job Description

As an early childhood lead teacher, you will contribute to the goals of Growing Grove Academy and the overall Holzer Health System community we serve by leading an age specific classroom in developmentally appropriate practices in a childcare environment. Lead teachers help design and implement age-appropriate educational programs that foster social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and creative development. They create lesson plans, daily routines, and learning activities that align with early childhood education standards for their assigned age group.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure:
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Preferred:
    Associate's Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education with at least 30 quarter hours (24 semester hours) in the field, or equivalent credential.
  • Required:
    Active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or certification with one year of hire.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification (or obtain certification within 30 days of employment[1]organization will provide)
  • Experience working with children ages 6 weeks through 6 years of age in a group/center setting.
  • Previous experience in an educational childcare setting is beneficial.
