Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a caring and dependable Toddler Classroom Aide to support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children. Our classroom is Montessori-inspired, encouraging independence, hands-on exploration, and child-led learning. The ideal candidate enjoys working with toddlers and helping them grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required (CDA or Paraprofessional Certification preferred) Experience working with toddlers in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting preferred Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for early childhood education Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with staff CPR and First Aid Certification (required) Interest in Montessori or child-centered learning approaches is a plus Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom routines and developmentally appropriate activities Support a Montessori-inspired classroom environment that encourages independence and exploration Guide children in using hands-on learning materials and practical life activities Supervise toddlers during play, meals, nap time, and outdoor activities Assist with diapering, feeding, and other basic care needs Encourage self-help skills such as cleaning up, handwashing, and putting materials away Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom Communicate with teachers and families about children's daily activities and progress Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities This position offers a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of young children.
