Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Education and Director of Building Operations, the Aftercare Associate will be responsible for the general supervision and management of the site, as well as assisting in the child's social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and cognitive development. The candidate will supervise students ages 3-6 after school Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM to 5:30PM. Montessori School of Dayton is a 200-student day school serving students toddler through 8th grade. MSD is dedicated to its mission of inspiring a lifelong love of learning in each student through meaningful, dynamic, and innovative experiences. MSD is chartered by the State of Ohio and is located in Kettering, Ohio near Dayton. The Aftercare Associate will arrive at the school to prepare for student's aftercare arrival at 3:30. The Aftercare Associate will prepare and serve snacks and plan activities for the students for after school until they are picked up.
Responsibilities of Job:
Ensure a safe and nurturing environment. Welcome parents and children at all times with a smile. Assist in general overall site management Supervise students after school. Prepare afternoon snack. Plan and execute activities for students after school. Experience working with children in a childcare setting. Responsible, dependable, high energy, and creative. Attend training in early August. Dates TBD Attend staff meetings as available. Knowledge of Montessori philosophy is helpful. Montessori School of Dayton is a great place to work! Our pay is competitive, and we offer paid time off. Learning opportunities are also available throughout the school year. •No experience necessary, training is provided.
