Substitutes play an important role in keeping our classrooms running smoothly, ensuring children are safe, engaged, and nurtured in our heart-forward, play-based environment. As a substitute, you will step into various classrooms (ages infant-school age), follow established routines, and provide a warm, supportive presence for children and staff. Responsibilities Substitute Teachers are responsible for (but not limited to): Supporting classroom routines and activities as directed by the lead teacher. Supervising children to ensure safety, kindness, and engagement. Assisting with play, learning experiences, and caregiving needs (snacks, handwashing, transitions, etc.). Maintaining a safe, welcoming, and clean classroom environment. Following state licensing and school policies, including child safety guidelines. Adhering with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources-i.e. ODJFS Maintaining a safe and clean environment for children to thrive Requirements The requirements for this position include: Experience working with young children preferred, but not required. Ability to follow directions and adapt to different classroom environments. Strong communication and reliability. Willingness to complete required trainings and clearances:
